Mexico - Part I

Okay, so I wasn’t supposed to go to Mexico to shoot whale sharks & mantas until the last week in July.  But now there’s going to be a Part II.  The whale sharks were supposed to be there, since the plankton is thick this time of year, but the mantas were a  killer surprise!  All shots were taken with ambient light only, either at the surface or while freediving to the bottom at 40’.

Damn, they’re BIG!!!

I shot this entire trip using ambient light only (no strobes) with the Aquatica D2x housing and the Tokina 10-17 lens.

Check back at the beginning of August for MEXICO PART II
