What makes Madeira unique for documentation is the possibility of observing sperm whales, Risso's dolphins, and blackback dolphins outside of the diving areas (on the surface, snorkeling, or by boat). These surface observations, combined with underwater images of the same area, create comprehensive documentary records of species that are rarely photographed in such close proximity.
