For natural light diving, this 5x periscope lens is useful when you want to frame subjects at a reasonable distance (wary fish, turtles swimming away) without having to get closer and disturb the scene. The minimum focusing distance of the periscope lens is stated to be 30 cm - which excludes true macro photography, but is very suitable for fish portraits taken at 40-60 cm.
