Product Recalls

A manufacturer who recalls a product isn't hiding a flaw, they're fixing it. This page lists verified safety recalls on non-photographic diving gear, updated whenever a new report is confirmed by an official source.

Critical recall2026-07-16

Hollis · 200LX (deuxième étage)

Affected serial numbers: Plages C3753-C77735, S73202-S84427, HA00001-HA14873, LX001698-LX009896 (unités vendues de mai 2017 à février 2026)

The issue: The second-stage inlet tube can crack or break, particularly after impact on the adjustable inhalation knob. The manufacturer has received 17 reports of the tube breaking. The risk is a loss of breathing gas supply during a dive.

What to do: Stop using the regulator immediately and return it to an authorised Hollis dealer for a free repair.

Critical recall2026-07-02

Apeks · XL4, XL4+ et Ocea (deuxièmes étages)

Affected serial numbers: 250402212 à 260402893 inclus (unités fabriquées entre avril 2025 et avril 2026)

The issue: A defect in the spindle mould tool allowed the spindle assembly to be installed incorrectly on some units. Beyond 45 metres, this can restrict breathing gas flow, exposing the diver to a risk of inadequate air supply. Affected units do not meet EN250 requirements.

What to do: Stop using the regulator if its serial number falls within the affected range. Have it inspected free of charge at an authorised Apeks dealer or service centre before diving again.
