Meet other divers

Cross paths around the water · not a dating app

Meet other divers

A waitlist for divers who want to meet other divers — at a club, on a trip, behind a housing. Not a dating app, no profiles, no matching.

I want to meet other diversI am an underwater photographer

Not a dating app. No profiles, no matching, no gallery. A waitlist for divers who want to cross paths with other divers.

Cross paths around the water, without turning it into a dating site

Generic apps do not get the water

Explaining why a Red Sea weekend matters more than a bar does not help on a generic app. Diving has its own calendars, budgets and risks.

You meet, then you lose touch

Raja Ampat, the Maldives, Bonaire, the Red Sea: you meet people, then the WhatsApp group dies. There is no sober place to stay in touch around the next dive.

Share the water, not a profile

Shared water, shared trips, shared level: that is not a promise of a relationship. It is simply easier to dive and travel with people who already know the water.

What this list is preparing

1

Say you want to meet people

A declared interest — diver or photographer — with no public card. If a space opens, it will be around outings and trips, not a dating algorithm.

2

Around diving

Destinations, levels, images: possible filters later. No matching is computed today. No photo is asked for.

3

Stay in touch

Travel, liveaboards, photo clubs: reconnect before you land, not “plan your first date”. If it never opens, you only gave an email.

Not a dating app

There is no diver-only dating product on the market — and that is not what we are opening. Buddy, Oceans and DIVR are social / logbook apps. This list is for crossing paths around diving, without romantic matching, swipe mechanics or profiles.

Underwater photographers

Images are a common reason to travel and dive with other people. The photographer role records that interest. It does not create a public gallery or a scored portfolio.

Who it is for

Diver

Divers who want to meet other divers, locally or away, without publishing a profile.

Underwater photographer

Underwater photographers who want to meet other divers around images, not a member gallery.

Guardrails

Not dating

No swipe, no date night, no gallery. If the word “meet” is ambiguous: read the FAQ.

Spots, not social proof

The destinations above are places divers already cross paths. They do not prove a community hosted here.

No fake numbers

We do not invent a member counter. If a space opens, people on the list hear first — with no public gallery.

Join the list

An email and a role. No profile to fill in, no member gallery.

Role *

We will write if it becomes possible to meet other divers — without a public profile.

After you submit, a confirmation email arrives. Click the link to validate your place — until then, the sign-up is not on the list yet.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a dating app?

No. No profiles, no feed, no matching. A waitlist only, to cross paths around diving.

Will I appear in a directory?

No. No profile is published. Sign-up only stores an email and a role.

Which role should I choose?

Diver, or underwater photographer. That is a declared interest, not a public profile.

What problem is this aimed at?

Generic apps do not get a Red Sea weekend. On a liveaboard you meet people, then lose them. The point is staying in touch around the water — not a date night.

Is this the same as Binôme?

No. Binôme is for finding a buddy team or a club for an outing. Rencontres is for crossing paths with other divers, including when travelling, without turning that into a dating site.

What happens after I sign up?

After you sign up, a confirmation email arrives. Click the link (24 h) to validate your place. We then write to that address if a space to meet opens. Nothing is automated today.
