Founder & Instructor - AquaExposure
Passionate entrepreneur and instructor, Benjamin founded AquaExposure to democratize ethical underwater photography and videography. His conviction: the diver's technical excellence is the only guarantee of free creativity and absolute respect for life.
Benjamin's journey was born from a frustration with traditional underwater photography education, often too technical, elitist, and disconnected from biological reality. Rather than conforming to this norm, he chose to reinvent it.
AquaExposure is not a series of technical courses. It is a manifesto for respectful immersion. The founding philosophy, the Scenography of Erasure, places the well-being of the animal and respect for its environment above everything, including the shot.
Benjamin designed a unique pedagogical method that combines the diver's technical mastery (buoyancy management, frog kick, tangential approach) with artistic creativity (composition, natural light, digital colorimetry), all without expensive professional equipment.
Method based on the Scenography of Erasure: tangential approach, respect for the flight bubble, zero flash, natural light exclusively. Professional results without ever disturbing wildlife.
Advanced chromatic restoration techniques adapted to the aquatic environment. Digital workflow on tablet (iPad) with specific colorimetric profiles, the 33 Point Cube method to reveal the reef's authentic colors.
Specialist in non-intrusive approaches to marine megafauna: manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, dolphins. Training in reading animal behavior and safety distance protocols.
Designer of a 12-module program covering dive photo safety, composition, light, editing, and citizen science. Democratized approach: consumer equipment (GoPro, Insta360, iPhone in housing).
Training in Photo-Identification protocols used by scientists to track marine megafauna populations. Partnership with databases like Manta Matcher to transform every diver into a scientific contributor.
Commitment to protecting marine ecosystems through education. Mission to transform underwater photographers into Ocean Sentinels: responsible observers and active contributors to biodiversity preservation.

At the heart of Benjamin's philosophy lies an original concept: the Scenography of Erasure. It is not just a technique, it is a mindset that redefines the relationship between the diver-photographer and the marine environment.
The principle is simple but demanding: the photographer must become invisible. No frontal approach, no flash, no pursuit. The goal is to blend into the marine environment by adopting a tangential trajectory, perfect stabilization (frog kick and horizontal balance) and respecting the flight bubble of each species.
The result: authentic interactions, images of incomparable emotional quality, and an environmental impact close to zero. This is proof that artistic excellence and respect for life are not contradictory, they are complementary.
Before touching a camera, each student perfects their buoyancy, finning, and air management. Safety and environmental awareness come first.
Reading animal behavior, safety distances by species, tangential trajectories. Each interaction is planned to minimize stress on the animal.
GoPro, Insta360, iPhone in waterproof housing, no need to invest thousands of euros. Benjamin proves that creativity and technique surpass equipment.
The exclusive colorimetry method on tablet (33 Point Cube Workflow) recovers the authentic colors of the reef without artificial lighting or a powerful computer.
Every captured image can become scientific data. Benjamin trains his students in Photo-Identification to contribute to tracking marine megafauna populations.
Benjamin designed a comprehensive program of 12 modules covering the entire journey of an ethical underwater photographer, from complete beginner to active scientific contributor.
Benjamin is developing Kai, a gamified mobile learning app inspired by Duolingo, dedicated to underwater photography and videography. Available in 6 languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch), Kai integrates an interactive exercise engine (MCQ, flashcards, visual species identification) and Neptune AI, an automatic colorimetric correction system for underwater photos.
