The TX vs Adventures dilemma: If your budget allows, the Peregrine TX offers air integration and compass for a justified price difference in the long term. The Adventures Edition is strictly for those who do not need these features and who choose their gear also for its design.

Screen protection: The large screen is the computer's strong point, but it is exposed to scratches. Always apply the protective film provided in the box before the first dive.

The package: The Adventures edition is delivered in a special box, with two coordinated sets of straps according to the chosen edition, which partly justifies the extra cost.

The decompression calculation of the Peregrine Adventures is surgical, but it is based on a theoretical model. The technology does not take into account your hydration state, fatigue, or workload underwater (especially true if swimming against the current with a heavy camera rig). Maintain Gradient Factors settings adapted to your physiological profile and always respect the indicated stops and ascent rates. Keep your regulator firmly in your mouth underwater, and maintain redundant backup safety plans.

The Shearwater Peregrine Adventures Edition is a superb piece of dive gear. By offering its classic model in Light and Dark versions, the brand finally provides a visual alternative to plain black, while retaining the masterly interface and 2.2-inch screen that made its success. It is the ideal computer for the recreational or advanced diver (Advanced Nitrox) who looks for maximum readability, algorithm reliability, and wishes to have a beautiful instrument on the wrist. Just keep in mind that the beauty of this edition does not hide new technical features compared to the original model.

The computer runs on an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery, delivering approximately 30 hours of autonomy at medium screen brightness. Unlike user-replaceable battery models, the Adventures Edition recharges wirelessly via the included induction charging pad, which prevents any casing leaks.
